Hospitality Should Be Easy

Sometimes we think that in order to invite people into our home we have to serve a gourmet meal. But really, your time together should be the focus, not the food. One of my favorite easy meals when having friends over is a baked potato bar. The only prep work is washing and wrapping the potatoes in foil and popping them in the oven, what could be easier. I usually ask everyone to bring a favorite topping, we have a green salad and dinner is served. No stress!

What Could Be Easier Than Baked Potatoes!

Butter, Sour Cream, Cheese and Broccoli, Yummm!

Basic Table Setting,
The wives of our church ministry staff try to get together every month. It is a fun time and nice chance to catch up as we don't necessarily see each other at church or get the chance to talk. There are nine total, but of course not everyone can always make it.

Cute Napkins and Bee Ring

I have been playing with my serger sewing machine and made some cute spring napkins. Setting the table is something I enjoy, but again I don't think the focus should be the table, or the decorations but time spent together. A simple candle, a few super cute birds and a little moss is more than enough to look festive without obstructing conversation.
